Craig + Jen Rehearsal Dinner

I really enjoyed getting to photograph this rehearsal dinner for Craig and Jennifer! The Cardwell’s hosted a beautiful night at Nick & Sam’s Steak House in Dallas for the rehearsal dinner. The ambiance was beautiful and filled with candles, friends, family, great food and wine. Craig and Jennifer make such a wonderful couple and it was a joy to photograph this special evening with their family and friends and to hear all of the great speeches. Here are a few favorites from the night for you to enjoy. Cheers to this happy couple!

KNPA Photographs Sarah Palin!

I had one of those weekends that makes you sit back and think “wow, life is full or surprises.” We were given an incredible opportunity last Friday to photograph the Palin4Life Gala at the Fairmount Hotel in Dallas. Katie Norris Portrait Arts was selected to take portraits of the VIP guests with Governor Palin. This evening meant so much to us. We were honored to be able to photograph such an historical figure and to support an important issue. I just wanted to thank every one for the notes and emails of excitement. This was such a highlight for KNPA and an evening that I know we will never forget. Governor Palin was very gracious and it was an amazing experience to share an hour in front of her and photograph her with the guests.

I also want to give a special thank you to my assistant and friend Charles Hankins. I could have not have done this without you! We are not able to post all of the pictures from the event but I wanted to share the portrait of Charles and I with the Governor and of my sweet husband Reece. I think we will make sure to frame this one in our home!

Baylor’s Love a Bear Valentines Day Home Tour

This was a wonderful event for KNPA to participate in! This was the first event put on by Baylor University Women’s Council to benefit the Baylor Women’s Council Endowment Scholarship Fund, which provides partial scholarships annually to Tarrant County Baylor students. There were four elegant homes in Colleyville and Southlake that couples and friends were able to tour for a unique Valentines Day. In each home Baylor artists and designers were featured and able to showcase their work or product for the guests to view. Our home was filled with some talented artists including my talented mom The Roselady www.roseladydesigns.com, BK Paintings www.bkpaintings.com, Amandak Handmade Jewelry and Chalkboard China www.chalkboardchina.com. Please check out their websites to learn more abouot these talented Women! KNPA was honored to be the only photographer at the event. We displayed our work and had a fun scene setup for sweethearts to take their picture. This was a wonderful day! The only thing that did not go well was the weather! Remember how cold it was on Valentines Day?! We were outside all day and it was pretty chilly but it warmed up by all the love and support for the Baylor Bears.

Edward Eastland’s Christening!

What a wonderful day this was! Edward and Mary Liz Eastland celebrated the Christening of their son Edward with family and friends at Camp Mystic. I was so honored to photograph this event and to be a part of this day filled with close family and friends. They had hoped to have the Christening outdoors but it was a chilly Saturday morning and they had the Christening indoors, which ended up being intimate and sweet. The event was wonderful–beautiful decor, great food, personalized touches and lots of laughter. What I loved most about this day was the love and support from the guests. Its a blessing for me to photograph joyous occasions and to capture friendships, new parents, new grandparents and godparents. I hope you enjoy pictures from this great day! Congratulations Edward and Mary Liz on your awesome little Edward!
